I've been looking through my files from all over the place deciding what to post next and thought a video would be nice. I haven't made many videos for my music, so this is an old one from what I can't believe is 7 years ago! Namakai is a duo me and my good friend Tommy Jonson played together as for a couple of years. We recorded one 5 track EP with an extra track that never made it out that I will upload here soon (super secret bonus!). It was fun but hard work as each track had lots of parts to it and it was a memory game as much as anything, getting them up to performance standard and keeping them there took a fair amount of practice and with other projects on the go it slowly faded away. Me and Tommy still enjoy playing together when we have the opportunity, he's a really gifted and skilled musician, a really beautiful singer and guitar player and someone I feel i've learnt a lot from over the years, always surprising me with new melodies and progressions and inspiring me to try out new things. I highly recommend listening to his heart meltingly beautiful solo folk pieces under the name 'Tommy Jonson', and check out his band 'Nebula Sun' who are a different kettle of psychedelic afro-grunge fish altogether.
